Espresso may seem a little harder to make than your usual everyday cup of coffee but now thanks to the number of espresso makers on the market it just got a whole lot easier. The only thing that you need to do now is to find the right espresso maker that suits your needs. Here we will try to give you a few tips on what to look for in the perfect espresso maker.
For starters any espresso maker needs to have standard features that include a hot water dispenser and of course the facility for keeping your cups warm. This way you are guaranteed a hot espresso every time.
Normally you will find the facility for keeping the cup warm on the top of your espresso maker. It is so handy just to be able to place the cup of espresso on it and keep it warm until you finish it.
The hot water dispenser speaks for itself really as it ensures that you always have a fresh supply of espresso that is always nice and hot.
Another vital feature that you should always have on your espresso maker is the strength control function. This function lets you select how strong or weak you prefer your espresso. So you could have different strengths whenever you like.
It is always better to find a unit that also houses its own water filter. The beauty of having a water filter is that it can take all the chlorine and other impurities out of your water before you make the espresso giving you a fresh tasting cup of espresso.
Bear I mind that these filters will have to be cleaned or replaced at regular interval though. But this is a small price to pay for an excellent tasting espresso.
Finally your espresso maker has to have the facility for frothing. With this frothing wand or canister you can make excellent espresso, cappuccinos or even lattes if you wish.

You Should Adore Having Coffee From Your Own Espresso Machine

Everything about espresso is more refined. The coffee is more finely ground, and the way that it is brewed by using more pressure makes it concentrated and much thicker. Machines used for making espresso have only been around since 1901. Continue reading and you can find out about the concentrated taste of coffee from an espresso machine.
It may have more caffeine than many types of drinks, but it actually has less than a regular cup of coffee. Espresso has what is known as a higher brewing strength than coffee because of the brewing process. This is where the term shot of espresso comes in; it is ordered in this way because of the machine that dispenses it.
Any type of coffee beans or roasting levels can be used to make espresso. The process is what causes the beverage to be special. In order to make it, you must have the appropriate machine.
Coffee is hit with hot water that has been pressurized in some way, and that is what makes espresso. You can purchase several different types of machines, they include air, steam, pump, and piston. Each will be in a different price range and have advantages and disadvantages.
The steam type causes the water to be forcibly pushed through the coffee by hot steam. This was the initial espresso invention, and it is still being used. These type of machines are much cheaper than some of the other types.
Another type is the piston driven and it can be done by spring or manually. This type was built in 1945. The machine operator creates the espresso a shot at a time and that is where the phrase was created.
In 1961, the pump machine came along. It has become the most widely used, and the most popular where large amounts are served. Instead of having to manually force the water, a pump does it for you. There are different types of this machine for home and commercial use. Some of the commercial machines attach directly to plumbing instead of having a water reservoir.
The newer machine uses forced air to accomplish the task, and we received this invention in 2007. It uses an air-pump to provide pressure which forces the water through the coffee in order to make the espresso. These machines have really made a big difference in commercial and home use. They are much smaller and lighter, and some are very portable.

Breville BES820XL; Excellent Quality At A Great Price!

When I decided to get my own espresso machine, there were two features that were on the top of my list: First, it had to be simple to use and, second, it had to fit into my budget. I kept both of these features in mind while shopping around and I came across the Breville BES820XL Espresso Machine. This machine has all the great features that you could possibly want from an espresso machine and is available for approximately $489.00, well within my budget. It offers the choice between manual operation and intelligent programming. The custom set programming function works to extract the exact volume of coffee with only the touch of a button. This is great for a novice like me.
A Thermoblock heating system, that permits 3 discharges of hot water into the filter head, is standard on the machine. The discharges of hot water develop an increase in pressure that boosts the espresso pods or coffee grounds so that captured air is cleared away and the espresso machine pulls out additional crema to make an espresso that is creamy tasting and full bodied. The pressure gauge on the face of the espresso machine then directs to above or below Optimum Zone or good or poor homemade espresso. The Optimum Zone, when properly positioned for pouring, allows the coffee drink that is manufactured at optimum pressure to have a rich layer of coppery crema.
The temperature of the water is increased by the espresso machine to produce steam for frothing milk by providing a swivel-action steam. The water is returned to proper level for brewing by the Auto-Purge function once the frothing has been completed. If you don’t use the espresso machine for an hour, the Power Save mode kicks in, and the machine is completely shut off if not used for 3 hours. If you leave the espresso machine on when you leave home, you won’t have to worry about shutting it off. The machine shuts it off if you forget.
The espresso machine has far exceeded my expectations for a quality espresso machine at an affordable price. It couldn’t be easier to use and I always get the perfect cup of coffee no matter what I make. My coffee maker came with a user manual with recipes and I have enjoyed trying new coffees and have even discovered some new favorites. Whether you want an espresso machine to provide you with a great cup of coffee every morning or to have for those chilly days where you don’t want to leave the house, this is a great choice!
I’ve had this espresso machine for four weeks and I thoroughly enjoy it. It’s made of high quality parts, is easy to use and it has made my kitchen look more professional. Find the right grind consistency for your taste and you will love the results of your morning brew! The 360 degree swivel arm makes the steamer wand operate efficiently and with ease of use. Purchasing the Breville BES820XL Espresso Machine will be the right choice for the coffee or espresso lover.
